Is adding central A/C a good idea?

How feasible would it be to add central air conditioning to a dwelling that already has forced-air heat; that is, with the air ducts and system seemingly already in place? Is this common? Is it more efficient, eneregy-wise and economically? Is it an improvement? Geographically, it would be in a home on the middle-east coast of the United States (New York to North Carolina). Thanks…

Is there a way to hook up security cameras so u can log into them on the internet and view them from home?

My buddy wanted a camera system that he could hook up in his house to monitor it when he is out on business. He wanted to hook up 5 video cameras in the house and then be able to view them on his computer via internet while away. Is this possible? If so how do we do this?

Tell me what’s wrong with a V.A.T. Tax. FIRE the IRS and NO forms?

I’m for a VAT tax or Value added Tax or better described as a national sales tax instead of the crazy income tax system that no one seems to understand. Let’s say you make $10 per hour and work 40hrs..you then take home $400 and yo pay taxes with a sales tax on the things you buy, Fed & State. It promotes savings and dumps the current paper work nightmere. It’s been estimated it could be done with a 16%-18% tax. It would be impossible to cheat on your taxes, the government still get’s it money and I can see my money before they take it. Can anyone give me any good reason why we should not have the VAT tax??

How would you make the tax system fair?

I personally believe that if spending was taxed instead of income it would be a much more fair system. Instead of having different tax rates for different incomes, and impossible to understand tax laws, wouldn’t a simple flat sales tax be more fair since more taxes would be paid by the rich since they spend more? Wouldn’t this also get away from a lot of the loop holes that companies take advantage of to pay less in tax? When they buy more land, buildings, office equipment… they would pay tax. Simple huh?

I guess I am just interested in hearing other opinions.
