My church recently split off and sold a vacant parcel of land. The Church is a 503C. Do we need to pay state and county real estate transfer tax on this sale?

I am a “for sale by owner” in the City of Detroit in the State of Michigan. More than the sign placed in front of the house, and more than using the newspaper to advertise, what market channels are available to use? Can I use the MLS? Does it make sense to use the internet like Yahoo Real Estate? How can I find out what the market uses to find homes including those in the City of Detroit?
