What is the difference between a repossession and a foreclosure? (for a modular home in a park)?

The house is in a park, not on private land. It’s a big one, 2400 sq.ft. I am current with the payments, but my job is making me move 500 miles away, I won’t be able to make payments on 2 homes. Is it better that they repossess it or foreclose? It’s for sale but the market doesn’t look good, homes have been for sale there for over 4-5 yrs. Renting is out of the question, I can’t afford the insurance they charge for a rental modular, and I don’t want it destroyed by the kind of tennants it would draw.

Is 475 sq.ft. with a full bathroom, bedroom and living room enough space for a live-in mother-in-law?

She has lived with us for 4 years out of 5 years of marriage.
She is a healthly, working 56 year old woman whose only daughter is my wife.
She refuses to have no life except for to wait for us to take her out to the mall, dinner, etc.
She has very few friends and no interest in finding a man.
Her bedroom is down the hall from us.
We support her completely and do not ask her for rent.
We need our privacy and are becoming desparate.
We are thinking of converting the garage into this apartment with a separate entrance.
If we convert the garage, we will make it feel like a part of the house with every convenience and great materials. We will use a reputable construction company for the remodel, but are not sure if this is enough space.

What are the usual fees charged for in these home improvements?

The home improvements would include, laying carpet (sq ft charge?), laying tile (peel and stick) (charge by sq ft.?), hanging 2 outside doors and 1 inside door. There is 5 doors that need hardware added (locks, peepholes, etc.),installing 2 pedistal labs, 2 water closets, and caulking windows and painting trim. All materials are provided for the job, the labor is the only thing that will be charged.
