Please help with my misbehaving 6 year old son!?
My 6 year old son is misbehaving in school. This has been happening since kindergarten. He throws temper tantrums, and today, threw a glue stick at a teacher! I received a call from his principle and she’s putting him in in school suspension. I am just appalled at his behavior! He never acts that way at home. I would love some good advice on how to go about rectifying this situation. I have him enrolled in some fun extracuricullar activities, as well. I don’t want to hear that he lacks attention at home and that’s why it happens. I am a stay at home mom and spend hours of quality time with my children everyday and actually give my son extra personal time because of this. This is what my husband and I came up with as a punishment: we are going to take EVERYTHING out of his room and make him earn it back slowly as he shows improvement. We are also not allowing him to play video or computer games.

How does your family budget to live on one income?
I am trying to figure out ways to cut our family budget to allow me to stay home and raise our son. I believe we live well within our current means, but there is always room for improvement. The cost of daycare is ridiculous it makes me want to stay home more and more everyday. How does your family save money? We are currently paying off 3 credit cards and 4 student loans, what situation are you in and how do you manage? I am willing to work out of the home if neccessary, that is no problem, finding a job to do so is. Serious answers only please. Thank You!
We do not use our credit cards anymore, we are just paying off the balances. We did call and transferred them to 0% APR cards to eliminate interest.

ADD and Punishment?
I have a 16 year old son who has ADD. He takes adderal. The problem is that even with adderal, when he gets home he spends his time messaging and doing everything other than his schoolwork. We sent him to a private school this summer so he could develop good study skills which seemed to work at least until the end of the summer session when he started to slip.
I suggested to my wife that the only way we can get him to recognize that the computers in the house are for work and not play is to eleminate his access to them. He can still walk to the library and use computers there. Once he shows improvement, we can have access to the home machines.
Thoughts on this approach please.
