Really Bad Smell?

Okay. Last year, around this time we had this horrible smell in our bathroom. At first we thought it was just that our septic tank was getting full so we had it pumped. That didn’t help. So my father replaced a seal around the toilet. That didn’t help either. He eventually ended up replacing the entire toilet. The smell stayed and gradually went away towards the end of March. We forgot about it, until it returned last week. It smells horrible and exactly like it did last year. It’s kind of hard to determine where it is coming from bt it seems like this certain part of the wall. Before last fall, we had the back of our house sided and we figured that the smell was coming from a dead animal that had been sided into the wall. However, it was gone all summer and then recently returned. We live in a log cabin so it’s going to be a real difficult to take out the wall. Is there any way for us to pinpoint the source of the smell, a suggestion as to what is might be and how to get rid of it?
The bathroom is right off our kitchen, which is where everyone walks into the house. The smell is pretty embarassing and we have visitors alot. Shutting the door just makes it about a million times worse when you actually do have to go into the room and it’s too cold to leave the window open. Candles help a little but not much.
Lol and about the siding of a log cabin…. The part we got sided got alot of weather and caused the wall to rot a little. It’s not towards the road or anything so no one sees and my mom didn’t want my father up on a ladder trying to get out the bad logs.

what are required stipulations of being able to claim grandfather clause for my 2 separate dwellings that were built before i bought the property ,(which also has a main house on the same quarter acer of land ) approx 15 to 13 years ago at an “as is sale” the address is 4558 apricot rd simi valley california (if you want to look it up on google earth )the two smaller dwellings are in a line from the front main home and when my past renter was evicted he said he had a friend in building code and he was giong to turn me in becouse he said they were not up to code . then two weeks later they came over and aparently the building inspectors want me to take the two dwellings down because they claim there was never a permit to build. my daughter has been living in one of the dwellings for the last 11 years .and the two dwellings both are on a septic tank not the city sewer. please help its been three weeks and the letter that the building code sent says sections 8-03.06 and 8-05.01 svmc

i want to sell my home but there is a problem with my septic tank?

THERE IS AN ADJOINING PIECE OF PROPERTY BETWEEN MY NEIGHBOR AND I. MY SEPTIC TANK SITS ON THAT LOT SINCE 1970′S. IT HAS BEEN KNOWN AS COMMON GROUND. NEW OWNERS TOOK OVER IN 2005 AND ARE NOW SELLING ALL LOTS WHICH WERE NEVER FOR SALE UNTIL THE TAKE OVER. MY NEIGHBOR AND I HAVE ALWAYS AGREED TO BUY HALF OF THE ADJOINING LOT IF IT WAS EVER FOR SALE. WE HAVE NEVER HAD PROBLEMS AS NEIGHBORS AND HAVE ATTENDED PARTIES AND OTHER EVENTS TOGETHER ETC. HE HAS NOW WENT AND BOUGHT THAT LOT AND TOLD US HE ONLY WANTED UP TO THE GRASS (WHICH WE HAVE MAINTAINED SINCE WE HAVE LIVED HERE IN 1995). HE STATED HE ONLY WANTED THE DRIVEWAY. WE HAVE BOTH KEPT HALF OF THAT LOT MAINTAINED AND MY SEPTIC TANK SITS ON THAT LOT BUT CLOSER TO MY SIDE. NOW HE HAD THE ADJOINING LOT HE PURCHASED SURVEYED AND ACCORDING TO THE SURVEY LINES HE NOW OWNS AT LEAST HALF OF WHAT HAS BEEN OUR FRONT YARD AND WE HAVE BUILT AN ADDITION WITH A WRAP AROUND, COVERED PORCH WHICH NOW SITS ON HIS NEW PURCHASE OF THAT LOT.ANY HELP
