can school superintendent remove my child from her class, even though she was admitted in school by principal

F/U from 8-21-06. thank you jparalaw for your answer . school started on 08-24-06 .I still had not received a response nor could I get in touch with the supt regarding her decision to approve my child to attend the better school. I decided to take my child , her medical record, transfer form ,lunch form and my 30.00 receipt [ 10.00 for student fee and 20.00 for book rental] and went to the school. The principal accepted her and placed her in class. she attended class for 5 days . the superintendent removed her from class stating she had to be re- registered at her home school and further wait on her approval for my child to attend the better school. The failing school is 5 years into improvement and only met ayp this year in math.she said by law she has until the 15th of september to make that decision. she would not allow my child to remain at the better school until that time ,As she stated, she has to review request according to need. did she have the right to remove my child?

Debt Optimization – Student Loan debt vs. Mortgage debt?

I recently graduated from grad school, and I have my share of student loans. I also am in the market to buy my first home. I have a decent sum of cash saved to put toward a down payment. However, I’m wondering what the smartest thing to do with my savings would be: 1) Pay down some of my variable interest rate private student loans or 2) Apply the savings to a downpayment. Essentially, it’s just a trade off between having student loan debt or having mortgage debt. I’m going to buy a house regardless, but it’s a question of whether I have less mortgage debt or less student loan debt. My instinct would be to apply the savings to the student loan debt since it’s interest rate is NOT tax deductible like the mortgage debt would be (I make too much money to deduct student loan interest). The variable APR on my private student loans is hovering around 7% right now (Before you ask, I have already consolidated my federal loans). What would be the smartest thing to do in this case

Parent’s only please.I know it’s long but please take time to read.?

My daughter has gone to summer school 2 years in arow for her math. She’s suppose to be in the 5th grade but she’s gpoing to the 4th.The paper’s she brings home from school and her report card’s reflect something totally different. She brings home A,B,C,and D but I never seen her bring home an E.Her weakest subject is math and I ask her teacher can she make B honor role since she recived all o’s on her report card and a N in math for need’s improvement.I thinking she has recieved enough o’s to bring her math up to a B.But they told me no.I am confuse because the problems they’re telling me she’s having in math she does just fine at home.I had to go before the child study team and they tested her and they said she’s well above grade average as she should be because she stayed back please help any parent’s out there.

Should I leave him?

We were engaged but had problems deciding on a location to live. My kids are in a public school and must live in a particular area. His son is in private school and does not need to live in any specific area. He said I needed to work on things and I did slowly. While I was studying for the bar, he bought a house on the opposite side of town I need to be. I broke up with him. We got back together because we missed each other and love each other. I worked hard on things he said were a problem. Now he wants us to live in his house, rent an apartment in the school district my kids go to, and run back and forth to all of their sports, activities, and school(approximatley 28 miles one-way). All this running will put a major strain on our finances and time we spend with each other. I need unbiased advice from people who do not know us. Please help. Would you leave him?
We have talked at lenght about solutions and end up arguing. My kids have changed schools several times and really like where they are at. In fact, my daughter is excelling at school and sports. My school district is one of the best in the state, his is one of the worst.
