How to get a job in Retail/sales for T-mobile?

How to get a sales position that will allow me to out my sales, and customer service skills to the test. Im 19 about to get into college, and I work in a tire shop now, but it seems like im stuck there, I need to get into a sales job, where I can stay clean, and look professional !!!!! I live I live in the Chicago land area!!!

what is it gonna take to land a job now?

I’ve graduated with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering 2 years ago but because of some legal status issues I was unable to get a job in my field or more like I didn’t really try since my papers weren’t in order. so I’ve been basically working odd jobs in restaurants and such and now that my resident alien status has been re-established. It seems that none of the employers seems to be interested. I get no replys from them exceptt for sales position that work on commission or agencies who want to send my ass to iraq to be a translator since I am a tri-langual . any feedback would be appreciated as what the next step should be as I am frustrated and on the verge of desperation. thank you.

Sales People! Why do you enjoy sales?

I am interviewing on tuesday for a sales position, and I do not have any sales experience, although I think I would be good at it. The initial recruiter asked me to think over the weekend and come up with reasons I want to be in sales. Honestly? I want to earn a lot of money, and since I like talking to people and don’t get bothered by rejection, sales seems like a good way to go. But I need an interview-worthy answer, and “I want to make money and buy a house” probably won’t fly. So if you are a successful sales person, why do you like it? What should I emphasize in my interview to help me land the job?
It’s actually a position as a recruiter, if that helps, but I understand that is really sales, and they are really stressing the sales aspect.

I can’t find a job with a college degree anyone having the same problem?

I am graduating with a finance degree and have a 3.5 GPA…..and I still can’t find a job!! I have interviewed with quite a few companies and nothing!!! I dress really nice with a suit and tie, and not that it should matter but I am goodlooking, have had work experience, good grades at a pretigious business school And yet still can’t land a job unless its a lame financial sales position. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Am I doing something that is turning employers away? I dont know what to do, I am frustrated and am begining to think I worked my ass off the last four years for nothing….college is overrated.

promotional products sales help???

A couple months ago I got a job selling promtional products, I have never had a sales position before but I am really liking this and doing fairly ok. I already have a couple good customers but I want to do better. I know this could be a very profitable career for me. I just dont know who I should target my sales calls toward, how I should approach new potential new clients once I land a meeting with them, how agressive I should be when trying to make a sale. Anyone in promotional products sales have any advice for a newbie? Or actually anyone in marketing/advertising?
