I gave 60-day notice at my old apartment complex and moved out the following week. What am I required to pay?

I gave 60-day notice on 11/16/05 and returned the keys on 11/23/05. I paid my December rent in full on 12/1/05 and the landlord just mailed me a letter saying the apartment had not been rented yet. Am I required by law to pay the full month amount on January 1 or only through 1/15? Is the landlord required to make an effort to make the apartment ready for new tenants and place ads prior to the end of my 60-day notice? As of 12/1 it had not been painted and the caretaker was upset that she was not able to go in and touch it up until after it was painted. The ads said it would be available AFTER 12/15.
This is in Wisconsin and the lease said I had to give 60 day notice on a month-to-month lease.

how long does a homeowner have from notice of default to losing home completely?

thanks for answers on previous question. I have more…I am finding out information on how to buy forclosures. I need to know how long I have to approach current owner about buying home, but I dont want to ask too soon from notice of default date. Some have them listed for sale & would like to approach at the perfect time.

Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure in Michigan?

I will be signing a deed in lieu of foreclosure as soon as the mortgage company’s attorney sends it to me (they said it will be one to two weeks from now). How long, after signing, will I have until I have to be completely moved from my home and can I negotiate if they don’t give me enough time? I can’t plan to move before receiving this notice because it will be considered abandonment and for the time being its a “free” place to live so my attorney has advised me to stay, but he’s not sure of the amount of time I have before I must vacate. My realtor couldn’t get the home to sell through a short sale due to the slow market in Michigan and the fact that the lender wasn’t responding to offers on a timely basis. I need to know how much time I have from time of signing because I am in the middle of divorce and not receiving any financial support from my ex yet. Thanks!

Help! here’s the situation.?

I have been married for 13 years now, 3 kids, and for 6 months now, I have been trying to get a new job. Well, I got a job offer, put in my two week notice, and accepted the new job in a different state. I leave in two weeks, and have put my home up for sale but has not sold yet too, so my wife and kids will stay until we sell the house, or so I thought, she now says she is not going, she says she doesn’t want to be that far away from her parents and family. Man!!! what do I do? I don’t want this job, I’m ready to move, and the kids want to move too. What do I do?
We did talk about this for the last 6 months, and she said yes to the move.

job question!!!!?

I was employed by a major company in Georgia in their sales division (before today). I was on vacation for a week due to my family was having some problems. I came back, I gave a two weeks notice and said that i was moving back home which was in another state. I had taken the rest of the week off and on the day that I gave the notice, I went home to check my work email and noticed the password and user ID were not working. on Friday I had to attend a baby shower at the corporate office for a friend and everyone was saying “I thought you were going to another company” and I told them all no and that I had just put in my notice. I went to work today and could not get on the computer to log in or clock in, i went to talk to the asst. location manager and he said that individuals in the sales divisions are not allowed to work trought their 2 weel or what ever notice they had given and i did not see that in the policy hand book. Is this illegal? can i file a complaint with the DOL?
