1 year after an eviction…?

I have the means to pay back what I owe my landlord…around $3000. I was one of two people on the lease…and my former roommate passed away since then, so I guess I am fully responsible now. My question is, I am going to be applying to rent a house/apartment in about 4 months, and I cannot have this eviction as is, what are the chances my former landlord (an apt. community) will work with me to get their money and possibly give me some good standing to work with as far as rental history? How does this work? It is not on my credit report, so I guess its up to the landlord to relay this info to my future landlords, unless they do a check for an eviction? Any help on this broad topic is greatly appreciated.

Im being evicted?

Im being evicted from my apartment because I did not pay the rent because they did not fix the stove, or the leaking toilet for 4 momths. They came and fixed the stuff just 2days ago. When I go to court if I pay all the money can I stay in my unit

Financing a construction of a house for sale?

A friend of my made me following offer: He has a lot in a good area, but does not have money to build on it. He offers me to finance the construction (legaly I will be purchasing the land and paying for the construction), he will take care of everything, I just need to put my name on the loan. I also sign an “Option to Buy” agreement, so he has an option to buy a house (at predetermened price) once construction is complete.
There is a risk, if Real Estate market will crash, I might end up with a house that it cost more to build then it can be sold for.
For the risk I will be paid $15K when house construction is complete (in 12 month).
State: Colorado
I need to finance $750K
A friend has already invested ~$200K into the house (land, architect, approval, demolishion of an old house, etc.)

Does this appear to be a sound deal? Where can I get more information and advise?
I’d say that risk is really small. Something really bad has to happen to affect the prices on real estate to drop below non-profit point. I also don’t do it because he is my friend. How hard is it to get me screwed on this?

How much money do you think that you need to live comfortably?

Please answer with areas of expenses/budgeting. For example, if entertainment is important to you..include 500 a month budgeted for entertainment, electric bill, mortgage payment, gas, water, cable, etc.
I’m interested in seeing what is obviously necessary and important to people and what they think constitutes a comfortable life.

We’ve been married 21 yrs. and live like roommates?

My husband is basically a wonderful man. We married when my children from 1st marriage were 4 and 6. We also have 3 children together. (2 at home- youngest is 6)) After my mother died in ’99 i received a substantial inheritance and we bought our “dream” land (15 acres) and built a house. It has become a nightmare. Not enough time, energy or money to keep it up. (also, no one helps me) Anyway, 2 yrs. ago we decided to divorce and put the house up for sale. It has not sold. We are simply “waiting”. At least thats what I think, as we dont talk about it AT ALL. We get along fine, he’s a great story teller, he makes me laugh still, puts up with lots of my crap, but we’re just “pretending”, i feel, for the kids. We sleep in separate rooms and have our own lives, but as long as I am home and “play” the role, everything is “fine”. If I ask if we’re still getting divorced, his answer is usually something like, “May as well.” I have no idea what we’re doing. This could go on forever.
