I’m a college student in Purdue in West Lafayette, IN, and I’ve recently landed an internship in Minnesota, MN, and I’ll most likely have to commute to work there since it’s a factory in the middle of nowhere, so I’ve been contemplating buying a used car, but I’d like to answer some unsettling questions first:
- Insurance? I have relatives in Washington, but I have no idea how insurance works so I guess that’s another entire question on its own
- Mileage? I heard under 50,000 miles for a used car is good, so I’ve been looking online and saw some pretty decent cars up for sale
- Transportation? What I mean by that is how, other than taking a plane or buying a used car, would I get from Purdue to Minnesota? I’ve thought about renting the car for the short term I’ll be there every half year, but it didn’t seem like it would help at all financially
My dilemma is very confusing, I know, but I was wondering if anyone else here had a similar problem in college and could help me out. Thanks!
