I need serious legal help. My husband has been having an affair, I want him to leave our home he says no he won’t leave. I don’t work out side of our home so I don’t have the money to hire a lawyer. Can someone tell me how I can make him leave? Can I buy a divorce packet for a contested divorce? And if so, in it can I ask the court to make him leave our home till the sale of it in the divorce? I know he will be intitled to half of the money of the sale of the home after we pay the bills off. And since I am not employed can I ask that he still pay the mortgage? I called legal aid, and they said unless there is a protective order or I am on welfare, they wont help. And I called several lawyers and they want a $1,000 to 3,000 retainer. Also if anyone knows will lawyer’s ever take on a divorce case and collect the money from the sale of the home? I have been married for almost 11 years. This is his 4th affair, and I can’t forgive any more. I’m so broken up about this.
1.If I leave my home, he can get me for desertion. 2.I dont work because I fell, and broke two ribs, and now I cant find a job, we live in a very small town. 3. I was hoping a lawyer would read this thats why I put it on law thread. 4. I cant change the locks all he would have to do is break the window of his own house which is not a crime. 5. He is not abusive so there goes the protective order out the window. 6. To the idiot that said I was a typical woman that lives off a man. You dont know diddly squat, I work harder here at home maintaining a 7 room house and 2+acres of yard and plants then most do at there regular job, mister. And just because most of the world doesnt recognize or compinsate the caretakers and homemakers of the world. Doesnt mean we are worth nothing. I have worked all my life, except for the past few months, So shut up. I didnt have anything to do with the choice of weakness of my husband and his cheating ways and dark soul. 7. Leagal aid will not help. thanks
