How does your family budget to live on one income?
I am trying to figure out ways to cut our family budget to allow me to stay home and raise our son. I believe we live well within our current means, but there is always room for improvement. The cost of daycare is ridiculous it makes me want to stay home more and more everyday. How does your family save money? We are currently paying off 3 credit cards and 4 student loans, what situation are you in and how do you manage? I am willing to work out of the home if neccessary, that is no problem, finding a job to do so is. Serious answers only please. Thank You!
We do not use our credit cards anymore, we are just paying off the balances. We did call and transferred them to 0% APR cards to eliminate interest.

qualifying question?
My wife has a credit score of 650, and I have a 620. We are both working on improvement of those scores. She does not have a job, I am active duty military 7+ years. We want to buy a home that costs about 180k. Annual income is about 41k. Will we qualify? Will they combine our FICO scores or just use mine since I am the only one currently working?
What is the best type of loan to get. I know to try using the VALoan. But what is best? Interest only loans? etc.

Do I have to pay tax on a property (Land) sale? 1099S received?
I want to know if I have to pay taxes on this sale and how do I calculate this and what form to use. I have owned the land for 15 years and I purchased it with some other lots adjoining it. I have recently divorced and do not know exactly how much we paid for the land. I have a 1099S form and I just cannot see where I need to calculate if this was a gain or loss and if I have to add to my income if I made money on this.
Where can you get a mortgage from with bad credit?
I’m looking for a 6 bedrrom home in the Phialdelphia or surrounding areas. I am caring for my parents and I have three children of my own. I am currently receiving SSD, having been hurt in a car accident. Also both my parents also have income but due to illness and age are unable to work anymore.
