I’m buying a new home that’s within a NID. For the next 18 years, each platted land owner must pay an annual payment of $1961 for the NID. I’m curious to know whether or not I can deduct this payment on my income tax return.
My mother lives in an apartment that had damage from Katrina making it unliveable. She has lived between her 3 daughters. She is 66, retired educator and has incurred alot of expenses. She is still paying rent, paid a mover to move furniture to a storage unit. She is paying monthly for that. She has used ALOT of gas, stayed in hotels while on the road traveling from state to state to daughters homes. Meals on the road. Alot of eating out while on the road and in hotels. She was subbing at school before Katrina but now that she is displaced has not be able to work. Surely she can take these expenses as deductions but where on her federal income tax return? Any input or links would be greatly appreciated.

This trailer and small land is for sale by owner for $17,000. the place has been vacante for over 2 years. I need a place bad have no money really She is curently doing a rent to own it was $7,000 they put down $1,700 and are paying $390. [they are just buying the trailer on the land but will still have to pay the owner of the land rent each month]She had issues with them and doesn’t want to do a rent to own again. or wants 1/2 down I want to go to her Woman to woman and say rent it to me for a month or 2 at $450 and then in 2 months i give her $2000 dwn pymnt to buy with payments of $500 and then pay a extra $500 every 5 to 6 months and another $2000 in one year [income tax return time] So that I can have the place paid off in 25 months. not including the first 2 months of rent into the payment on the place. Which will total the $17,000 does this sound right? The $17,000 is for the trailer that is there and the land. It needs a bit of work. But I can do it. Who pays prop taxes?

Last year, I was planning to marry (I thought a wonderful man), but it was short lived. We got a CD together for a rather large sum of money, and put both names on the certificate. I put in about 2/3rds of the amount, with him adding 1/3rd. A few months later, he cashed the CD and took off for parts unknown. My money came from the sale of a home, and was declared on my income tax return, and taxes paid. Does anyone know whether or not he would owe taxes on this money, or is he scot free?
