House under contingent contract?

I just found the most awesome home that was only listed for sale 7 days ago. Great price, new kitchen, new garden. Perfect house for a girly girl like me.
Im annoyed because I emailed my real estate agent at that time if he had that exact kind of listing.
It turns out he went and played golf instead of checking new listings for me Argh.
Anyway in the MLS, this house for sale status is listed as: Active, but contingent. What does that mean ?
Does this mean I still have a chance at it ?
I’m pre approved for a mortgage and already sold my old place.
Any advice appreciated
Also I should add this house is located in Southeastern PA if that helps on advice

I have land, what do I do with it?

I went a little crazy at the surplus sale, bought three plots of land, and while I’m thinking of turning one plot into a garden, I have two others. One’s on a fairly major street, the other is residential and surrounded by blighted houses. It also happens to be about 100 feet away from a small park.

Both are zoned D5 (single-family dwelling), but I might be able to get them rezoned. My question is, what would be really cool to put on these plots? Plot A (busy street) is 50′ x 150′. Plot B (blight-surrounded) is 35′ x 192′.

I’m looking for ideas that would be legal. Please, no brothels, gladiatorial pits, crack houses, meth labs, or any other things that might make good business sense but would be promptly shut down by The Man.
Something a little more specific, please. Specific, specific, specific.

Anyone know how much these companies pay?

I was wandering if anybody knew the starting salary at Lowe’s, Home Depot, Sears, Circuit City, or Best Buy. I want a sales position at the electronics retailers, or anything at the home/garden places. I live in Columbus, Ohio if that helps anybody. Thanks for any help you can give me.
