I am thinking about getting my Finance degree, but I would like some questions answered. I have heard that the majority of finance position are in sales – ex: Selling different investment packages to clients…that’s lame in my opinion – I would like something more substantive where I wont have to be on the phone selling stuff all the time. What is a career in Finance where you work with a team, that people have fun in, that you get to make your own decisions, people come to you for answers, makes good money – I am thinking about a career in Real Estate Finance and then eventually getting my MBA in Real Estate and Land Development. Keep in mind when you answer this that I do not want sales – I just want to be the guy with information that people come to because of my knowledge of the market and perhaps Real Estate – phone and selling are not really appealing
Also… what finance careers start out at around $45000-$50000
