How would you make the tax system fair?

I personally believe that if spending was taxed instead of income it would be a much more fair system. Instead of having different tax rates for different incomes, and impossible to understand tax laws, wouldn’t a simple flat sales tax be more fair since more taxes would be paid by the rich since they spend more? Wouldn’t this also get away from a lot of the loop holes that companies take advantage of to pay less in tax? When they buy more land, buildings, office equipment… they would pay tax. Simple huh?

I guess I am just interested in hearing other opinions.

Advice please!!! Pharmaceutical sales vs. capital equipment?

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to read my question. For many years, I have been curious about pharma sales, but many insiders have told me to consider (medical) capital equipment sales. What are the pros and cons of such jobs.

Additionally, I am concerned about my ability to land either position, as I lack the 2 years of outside sales experience that is standard industrywide. I do, however, have two bachelor degrees, one in nursing (BSN) and one in communication. I am currenty working as a travel nurse and making over 100k/year, but I still belive I can reach higher levels of success in sales. I am very outgoing, hardworking, and especially competative, so I know that once I am given a chance I will do well.

I am also ready, willing, and able to relocate and travel.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

ever thought of joining the military to pay for college?

thats how im doing it. they pay for all of my college plus about $1000 a month on those months when im in school. Ive also been to Panama, Kuwait, Iraq and have experience as a heavy equipment operator because of the miliary. Not to mention the benifits of being a veteran like retirement and a VA home loan.

…thats my sales pitch. if you want to know more then yahoo messenger me at sean_mchugh6 or just post your comments on joining the military to pay for college.
thats true 7th but you also have to considor the benifits of being sent away.

you see the world, you meet new people, you grow as a person, you get a much better and valuable world view, you learn what luxuries are and are able to recognize them and enjoy them. ya you do get sent away but in the long run that can be a good thing. i know when i look back on my life ill be able to say ive done things. ..and because of the momentum the militay has given me ill be able to keep on doing things probably for the rest of my life.
