can landlord padlock door?

In NYS can a landlord padlock your door if you are in dispute over a portion of the rent? I deducted an amount for damage done to my sofa from my rent (Less than a third of my rent) from my current rent and I’m curious if they can lock me out of my apartment.

On the show Home Improvement with Tool Time Tim. He had a man that lived next door and he would always hide behind the fence like he didn’t want to be known. Does anyone know why? It’s not life threating but I am just very courious!…..

Bears and Wolves at my back door!!! Surveillance Camera

Several wild animals were filmed by a surveillance camera at a log home in Canada. The footage was taken over a three year period. Bears, Deers, Wolves, and many more. I was shocked when I looked at the video footage and saw just how many wild animals were visiting my home without me knowing. The video footage is accompanied by the song, “It Doesn’t Matter”, as recorded by “The Wild Berries”. I hope you enjoy!!!

do i have the right to not pay my landlord due to neglect?

In November of 2005 the tenant who lives next to me in a duplex in Lilbourn, Mo. damaged my front door while trying to keep me in my apartment while he beat his girlfriend. I showed the door to two officers I had called to the scene. They saw and still remember the damage. I notified my landlord, he said he would send someone the next morning. It has never even been evaluated. I have overlooked many things. I am not financially able to pay to repair the damage. The damage has become worse and now I can no longer shut the door. It is now taking the door, frame, doorway and walls around it off the building. I make only enough money to pay my bills and feed and clothe my family. Do I have the right to not pay my rent for 30 days so I can take the money and get an apartment that is available and is more suitable. What are my rights?

What are the usual fees charged for in these home improvements?

The home improvements would include, laying carpet (sq ft charge?), laying tile (peel and stick) (charge by sq ft.?), hanging 2 outside doors and 1 inside door. There is 5 doors that need hardware added (locks,peepholes,etc.),installing 2 pedistal labs, 2 water closets, and caulking windows and painting trim. All materials are provided for the job, the labor is the only thing that will be charged.
