Where should we move to in central Kentucky?

We want to move to central Kentucky, because real estate prices in our state have gone way up, out of reach. Kentucky is famous for being a low-cost state, which is why we want to move there. We want good internet access where we move. Some towns don’t have DSL. What other good internet access should we look for there? We can only afford a cheap house. Where should we look to get the best deal? Or maybe we could rent a house for a few years, till we could afford to buy one? Or even an apartment? We have 2 kids, but no pets. How much is the electricity in Kentucky? Ours is 9 to 11 cents per KWH. Where can we store our furniture, etc., while we look for a place? We were thinking of Shurgard in Bowling Green, but would rather find a more northern place, to be closer to more of the area we want to look in.

Bought boyfriend U2 concert tix, do I have to go too?

I bought my boyfriend two U2 tickets with my student presale deal because he loves that band and is going to a friends cabin the day the tickets go on sale to the general public. So he won’t be able to get them in time. I’m getting these for him as an early Christmas present. I don’t really listen to U2, so I think I would be a waste of a ticket if I went. I honestly think he should take someone who loves this band as well, and would be able to enjoy the music, too. I told my friend about this, and he said it’s weird that I wouldn’t go, and if my boyfriend doesn’t have me go with him, “it would be like a slap in the face.” I’m confused by this. Would it be weird if I didn’t go with him? Keep in mind I don’t really listen to this band in the first place. The date of this concert is also on my birthday, but I don’t mind AT ALL that he might be going to this show without me. I’m just happppyy to give him something so awesome for Christmas:)

How do you reinstate an “historic” township into a functioning township in the state of Arkansas?

Arkansas was established with 6 sq mile townships with limited authority. The area in which we live in Garland County, AR is an “historic” township that has never exercised it’s township rights. With a great deal of land for sale in the area, the entire neighborhood of small farms is concerned about housing developments moving into an otherwise quiet rural community.

We thought forming a township would enable us to pass zoning laws that would restrict lot size building requirements (e.g. 5 acre minimum).

Does anyone know where we should start our research or lobbying to exercise our township rights? Is this even possible in modern day?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, or if you have personal experience stopping developers I would also love to hear about that.

Thank you,
