My girlfriend was recently suprised by a “cool, outgoing girl” in her early to mid-twenties who got into her house by asking her 13-year old sister if she could come in for a glass of water. She pitched her scheme and hustled my girlfirend for $34 dollars to send magazines to children’s hospitals. She then offered my girlfriend a dream job of traveling the country with other twenty-somethings partying and drinking all night in hotels while selling magazines and books. I suspect this another scheme. Has anyone had this experience or something like this? Note to any readers: don’t let your self be the target of door-to-door scams. Ask for credentials and don’t let them in your home!
A young twenty year old preppy girl usually doesn’t seem that dangerous. But safety is not the question here, maybe I’ll post that one later. The topic is door-to-door scams.
