Is anyone else disappointed with BBC-America?

Exept for a few shows “Life on Mars” and “Murder City” to name two I haven’t been very impressed. Lots of reruns and home improvement shows.

what rights as a seller do you have when title of a mobile home is never transfered into the buyers name?

I sold a mobile home to an individual who never transfered title into his name. The individual has since abandoned the mobile home and is now residing in another city. Now the city treasurer and landlord on which the mobile home sits is harassing me for back monies as the title is still in my name. I do have a signed contract of sale by both parties and am wondering what rights I have as the seller in this situation. I am not looking for any monies from the purchaser, nor do I want to regain posession of the mobile home. I just want to be left alone in this matter as I do no longer own the property, and I do not feel I should be responsible for back taxes or back rent on the lot on which the mobile home sits.

Who do you contact about cell phone reception in your city? I cant use my cell in the Berkeley Hills at all!!?

I figure some people up here wanted fewer towers but for those of those who dont want to buy a land line and tell everyone our 2 numbers and what time to call which…esp. if you’re in a sales job and no one wants to put in the effort for your benefit, how do you confront this issue? As a paying citizen there MUST be something I can do or say to the city but I have no idea who to contact. Tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Do you think buying a lot/land in a major city could be a good real estate investment?

I live in Chicago and already have bought a couple preconstruction condos as an investment. I have seen some land/lots for sale for what seems like reasonable prices in areas that have potential to be “up-and-coming” areas. What do you think, in general, about how how good of an investment land is? Would you recommend building on it, or waiting until the cost of the land appreciates a good amount and then flipping it? Do any of you own or have owned land as an investment in a city? What are some of the things I should consider, in this kind of investment?

When are Real Estate Agents going to admit the market has turned and start pricing homes lower?

I’m moving from Northern CAL (previously hot market) to Phoenix (also a market that has peaked and turned downward.) There is so much inventory in my city that I priced my home 50K below recent sales. None of my friends’ homes had showings, and we had 13 in 2 weeks, and still sold 12K below asking price. Now I’m looking at AZ, and there are a TON of homes for sale, and I’m seeing a lot of “Price Reduced” signs. But still, a lot of homes are priced at the same levels from a year ago (which is too high.) If someone wants to sell, shouldn’t they be advised to list at a lower price? That’s what my CA agent told me, and I sold in 2 weeks.
