Pay cut switching jobs?

Currently, I work in a job that is a combination of salary and commission. (real estate leasing). I worry that even though my take home is pretty decent, when applying to a newer job, they will only look at my base salary. I work in the Boston area, so I’m concerned if I ever moved on to either another state or part of the country I would receive a lower salary for a sales or management type job. Asides from the monster.com websites, what is the best way to negotiate the same if not higher salary for similar jobs that pay in the $25,000-$32,000 range elsewhere. I feel I will have to start back at the entry level range if I work at a different company. Do many people find moving on comes with a pay cut?

Which, gentle Americans, I’m sure you well understand was not merely a patriotic fight against British monarchy, tyranny or oppression-
BUT wealthy US colonists’ extreme annoyance at being taxed & charged for their illegal smuggling of tea.
The British East India Company- had a monopoly on the very lucrative teas sales into the US.
Wealthy colonists didn’t like that terribly much so Samuel Adams and John Hancock arranged to dump 18,000 lbs of tea, resulting in a cranky George III passing punitive acts against Boston & Massachusetts- paradoxically worsening British relations.
Only 13 colonies (Eastern Seaboard) supported secession from he crown- the bulk of Colonial territory favoured British rule- so one should question whether the Revolution was truly popularly democratic and representative- or whether it was a land grab to snatch former Spanish territories on the Western seaboard.

Your thoughts? Especially as now, Americans bear a far greater tax burden than under George III?
