Our neighbours over the back fence are selling, and because of the huge property size (10,400 square feet) it will most likely be bought by developers, especially since it is an unattractive house. When this happens and our sky is blocked out by huge apartment buildings, not only will the sky be bloced out, but our privacy will be threatened in our backyard and property value will go down a lot.
The block of land is wonky shaped and sides around our house too, so the apartments will be on 2 out of 3 sides.
This has been our house for 10 years and is 70 years old. Our kids grew up here and it’s close to their schools, shops and the beach. We don’t know whether to move or not, and if to move to side with the demons and try get a better price by offering it to the developers so they willl have a 2 street frontage?
what would you do and what should we do? (besides, as my daughter suggested, steal the ‘for sale’ sign?
