Is it best to bid on property at public tax auction or approach before and make an offer?

I have never been to any type of auction, so I am a little intimidated. I know that large companies and others who are seasoned in real estate attend these things. But, my q is, should I try to buy the guy out of his house before the auction date, will this be better odds at getting the property. And how do I go about that? My area in Ohio has a high foreclosure rate, but I also look up local tax auctions. My goal is first to find one house and renovate myself, then try two more after my first sale. Someone in real estate or who does this for a living please offer some tips! I know a little about how to check out home sale prices, liens and such. But where do I go from there?

Can you put a apartment for rent on ebay?

I am wondering if you can put a vacant apartment up on ebay (or another auction site) and let people bid on how much rent they would pay?

want tupperware tiny, gadgets, consultant awards, prizes, estate /other lots, also Germ, Austr, Asian, USA?

I want to buy tiny tupperware. These all look just like the real thing, but are never directly sold by tupperware to the public. They are usually keychains, magnets, tiny versions of real gadgets. They are given at parties as favors and others are little trinkets t’ware gives its sellers as awards. Slightly bigger versions are sometimes sold as toys. They are all over ebay some of the other online auction sites, but seem hard to find anywhere else. Does anyone know of a good estate sale comany or auction house or business liquidator or sale where everything is not all picked over and decimated by the time public even gets a look? I am in the North Atlanta area but will travel up to 100+ miles for a large collection, even better for several large or very old or interesting collections.

What do you think about a “Land Rover” 1999 Discovery?

I have been looking around for a car for about 5 weeks now with no luck. I have also gone to the car auction twice a week with still no luck…I saw on CraigsList.com… a 1999 Land Rover for sale and am considering purchasing. The asking price is $4,999 and I have just enough.

So now my question is do you think it is worth it?
It has 98,355 miles on it. How long do you think it will last. The car also comes with a lifetime warrenty on the engin…

My second question is that when you buy a car off the lot do you have to pay any other fees besides the asking price? Or will I leave there paying only the $4,999? I know I have to pay sales tax, but can I do that when I register the car at the DMV?

Thanks in advance for your help…
