He agreed to paint my house for rent and smoke outside. He also got a dog when I said no. I have a child with asthma so I told him he could smoke outside only because the heat and air are common to my house and the apartment.

How do I know it is time for my air duct cleaning?

Is adding central A/C a good idea?
How feasible would it be to add central air conditioning to a dwelling that already has forced-air heat; that is, with the air ducts and system seemingly already in place? Is this common? Is it more efficient, eneregy-wise and economically? Is it an improvement? Geographically, it would be in a home on the middle-east coast of the United States (New York to North Carolina). Thanks…

Landlord wont fix air conditioner, do i have to pay rent???
I have always paid my rent on time, and never had any complaints on me. I have lived here for more than a year, with no problems. But the air conditioner went out 2 months ago, and i have asked the landlord 2 times to fix it and he hasnt! I live in a HOT and Humid state, and right now its about 80′ in my apartment. I tried buying house fans and opening up the windows, but that hasnt helped. Can i legally NOT pay rent until he fixed the air conditioner?

If my Landlord refuses to fix something that is his responsibilty, can i refuse to pay rent until its fixed??
Okay, i have been living in the apartments for more than a year, and never have i paid rent late, or had any complaints about me. But, about 2 months ago, the air conditioner broke, and i asked my landlord to fix it. I have still been paying rent, but here it is 2 months later and he still hasnt fixed it! I ahve asked him 2 times now. I live in Missouri, and it is HOT and HUMID, and i have a baby. I cant stand living in the heat, but i cant afford to move yet. Can i legally refuse to pay rent until the Landlord fixes the problem?
