Before my dad past he was renting land for 175.00 a month and the guy built a 445 sq foot house on it well?

Daddy was 92 at the time and didn’t say anything to man then daddy put the land into my name and sister too. He told the next door friend that he was going to take it on squatters rights he has been there for I think 8 years. I raise the rent 350.00 a month and I want to sale. Now is there a Lawyer out there that can tell me who’s house is this mine or his. The land is only worth 7,000 but it’ worth 50.000 with the 445 sq footage. If he stays anther 10 years he will be paying 42.000 if i was him I would just pay me out. And he can’t take on squatters because he don’t pay the taxes.

Any possible way … first-time homebuyers?

Here’s our situation. We have been renting the same place for 10+ years and want to buy a small home that’s for sale. My fiance gets paid cash (and gets paid enough to cover the estimated mortgage). We don’t have great credit (minor flaws from probably 5+ years ago).

Obviously, I’m prepared to hear that I’m crazy for bothering. What steps should I take to improve our chances of obtaining a home? Are there any programs or loans that might give us a shot? (We’re in CT, if that helps.) We have little family and we really don’t even know who to talk to, so any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

How can someone be gay and be a conservative (i.e. Log Cabin Republicans)?

There is a lesbian couple that are my neighbors. Both are Bush supporters and conservative. They’ve been a couple of 10 years and own a home together and share other financial obligations. They both wear wedding bands. I find this surprising since the conservative agenda would like nothing more than to suppress the rights of gays in this country. I have not talked with them in detail about why the support Bush, however, I learned there is a group of gay conservatives called the Log Cabin Republicans. Is this not an oxymoron? The conservative Christian movement combined with the GOP seems to conflict with open and proud homosexuality. What is your take?

For Business Executives – How can a competent Executive Recruiter best earn your business?

I have been recruiting for 10 years. 9-10 times after I have completed a search my clients compliment my professionalism and the results that I have provided. I do earn repeat business but I am always seeking input and new ideas. I am very capable of effectively filling 75k-250k+ searches nationwide (IT “trained at Microsoft”; Finance, “landed and helped dozens of major accounts with hard to fill positions” Pharma “I was an in house consultant soley charged with supporting 6 Departments and 13 Managers/Directors”; Sales, etc.)

I would simply like to hear your thoughts on what matters to you (a Sr. Manager, VP or Executive) the most. If you could share any positive experiences that you have had or what you look for when considering a new recruiting resource I would appreciate hearing about it. Please also share what you like the least so I can make sure I am not doing those behaviors.
Thank you.

Should I stay, or should I go?

I have been working with y parents for 10 years now (I’m 29). In those 10 years we have expanded into 4 stores and then back to 2 stores. I have received less than 5 dollars in raises in these 10 years, but have gained a lot of experience. With there being a recession right now our sales have slumped. So I choreographed a major changed in the company, both on the floor and with the staff. It has worked and our business is getting back to where it once was. My issue comes from the fact that they still treat me like I’m the 18 year old who started with the company (even though I’m the “General Manager” now) I make only $13 an hour, salary. I pull a lot of overtime, while they skip off to their cabin at weeks at a time. Am I being duped? Should I take my experience elsewhere? Do you think they are taking advantage of our family ties?
