This video obviously relies on the lack of initiative of it’s viewers to verify it’s facts. Of course, many people tend to believe what they choose to believe and no amount of facts can change their mind. Wikipedia says that CRA gained momentum under President Bush in 1989 by imposing a rating system on banks. Also, the sub prime mortgage situation didn’t really begin until after 9/11 when the Fed flooded the market with cheap money and Republicans repealed the Glass Steagal Act.

It was in 1977 when Jimmy Carter signed the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). In 1995, BILL CLINTON reformed the CRA and made it easier for low income to get loans.
