How does a minimum wage worker with little work experience rent an apartment?

I would like to quit college in order to live an independent life as a minimum wage worker. But! I don’t know if the landlord would let me rent apartment when they see that I don’t have much of an experience.

For example, if they see that I have worked at a part time job for a few months, would they be willing to rent an apartment?

Rule of thumb: The amount you pay for rent should not exceed 1/3 of your income.

Ex. If you bring home $900 p/month you should only rent a room or apartment for $300 p/month

Always have at least two months worth of security deposit ready to put down for your apartment. If you can show a landlord that you have the ability to save money to cover at least two months worth of rent…they’ll probably give you the opportunity to rent from them.

I’m a landlord and I have no problem renting to first time renters, people with bad credit, etc. as long as they have 2 months sec. deposit.
